White Oak Lake State ParkAdjacent to Poison Springs State Forest, this park lies on the shore of Lower White Oak Lake. White Oak Lake is a 2,677 acre lake filled bass, crappie, catfish, and bream. Watchable wildlife and birding opportunities abound here. The park offers regular sightings of great blue heron, egret, osprey, and green heron, and in wintertime, migrating bald eagles. The park marina offers for rent: fishing boats, motor boats, pedal boats, canoes, and kayaks and a boat ramp provides access to the lake. It also has a barrier-free fishing pier, picnic sites, hiking trails (see pics below), and a playground. |
